It’s sad to put Naomi this low, but it's impossible to rank her first reign of under a week any higher. Her victory over Alexa Bliss at Elimination Chamber 2017 was a sleeper hit, a great match that gave a forever under-utilised talent a big title win. It was a beautiful moment, and her chemistry with Bliss is still some of the best that Alexa’s had in WWE. She was looking to go into 'Mania in her home state as the women’s champion and get a gigantic pop for winning.

Unfortunately, she was injured shortly after the PPV. Since it was unknown at the time if she’d be able to make it back in time for Mania, she was stripped of the title, ending her first reign with the belt in less than 7 days. She’s higher than Charlotte’s 2019 reigns because her title win was so good, and thankfully the injury added to a natural angle culminating in the reclamation of the championship a couple of months later.

It is worth remembering that Naomi's win felt special, especially in the midst of the Women's Revolution. It showed that one of the Divas who was undermined by both fans and creative as just an object of desire, could shatter those misogynistic perceptions, and prove herself as a worthy wrestler who deserves the respect of everyone watching.
