11. The Undertaker vs. Kane - WrestleMania XX

Kane's 1997 debut was something special. Crashing the classic Hell in a Cell match between Undertaker and Shawn Michaels, tearing the door off and physically dominating his brother, the Big Red Monster was a spectacle. This moment and the ensuing feud set up a clash of the titans at WrestleMania XIV. It's was no masterpiece but it was just the match fans were expected and it made Kane look like an absolute monster.

But by the time the rematch came six years later, the shine had very much worn off. After Kane buried Undertaker alive, the then-American Badass started haunting his brother, teasing a return to the Deadman persona at WrestleMania XX.

As great as it was to see Undertaker return to the gimmick that made him famous (as well as the return of Paul Bearer), the match itself amounted to little more than an extended squash match. Kane's original aura of an unstoppable hell demon was tarnished by this point thanks to some truly horrendous storylines (Katie Vick anybody?) and he put up very little defence against the Phenom.

In terms of match quality, both men have had worse, but they also have very lofty legacies to maintain. This match met no-one's expectations and is largely remembered as a disappointment.
