Bret Hart and Yokozuna had something to prove at WrestleMania X. After having their title match ruined the previous year thanks to exhaustion and Hulk Hogan's politicking his way to the championship once again, both men were determined to show they belonged in the WrestleMania spotlight.

The two had already been through matches earlier in the night, with Bret Hart losing to brother Owen in a 5-star classic of an opener, and Yokozuna defeating Lex Luger to retain his title. The stage was set for The Hitman to right the wrong that was done to him and dethrone his much larger opponent.

While the match wasn't anything to write home about and the finish was very strange (Yoko was pinned after he fell off the middle rope), it was certainly an improvement from their WrestleMania IX clash, with Bret valiantly fighting from underneath and out-manoeuvring the Japanese-Samoan to reclaim his championship.

What brings this match above the previous above all else is that the result was absolutely correct, and the post match celebration cemented the Hitman as the leader of the New Generation, as well as setting up the feud of the year with Owen.
