Everything That Was Supposed To Happen At WrestleMania 36 (But Didn’t)

2. The Early Main Event Plans

Now, this one is a little more difficult to track, because even before the event was cancelled in its original guise, there were a lot of changes to plans (or so the wrestling media would have us believe).

Last year, there was a lot of talk of Brock Lesnar (c) vs. The Rock vs. Roman Reigns, which fell apart when The Rock couldn't get cleared. Then focus turned for a longer period to Bray Wyatt's Fiend facing Roman Reigns.

Braun Strowman also talked up a match with Drew McIntyre (who was at one point linked to a match with Brock Lesnar). On signing his new contract, Strowman called out McIntyre, seemingly hinting at some talk of that being the big match in Tampa.

Honestly, the claims of what the Main Event would have been are probably the most twisting.
