IMPACT Wrestling is hosting their first Ultimate X match in over two years at Slammiversary, with Ace Austin, Rohit Raju, Chris Bey, Trey Miguel, Petey Williams, and Josh Alexander clashing over the latter's X Division Championship. The intriguing part here is that everyone has their own plan:-
Alexander, Miguel, and Williams have forged an alliance that could see them eliminate the competition, and bring it down to just them.
Austin and Raju have also formed a union, with the added bonus of the big and beefy Madman Fulton and Shera looming at ringside.
Bey, while initially aligned with the former, turned on them this week, realising that he'd have to at some point anyway if he were to become a two-time X Division Champion.
These plans are solid. Unless, you know, Scott D'Amore throws in a curveball by adding Kalisto - now back using his Samuray del Sol moniker - to the bout. He'd make for an enthralling addition to the match, needless to say. Despite being severely underutilised by WWE, you may recall his impeccable Salida del Sol from TLC 2015 on Jey Uso. Needless to say, he'd fit right into this situation.
