Any pay-per-view or televised wrestling event should have a standout commentary team at ringside calling the action. As such, the NWA and Billy Corgan have gone out and signed a legendary duo for the upcoming 70th Anniversary broadcast. Both Tony Schiavone and James E. Cornette will be on hand to tackle announcing duties.

Joe Galli -- a television news reporter and the main announcer for the Championship Wrestling from Hollywood promotion for the past three years -- will be handling the night's play-by-play duties. Meanwhile, Sunday’s color commentary will be provided by Jim Cornette -- a man very familiar with the NWA through his time as the manager of the former championship duo of the Midnight Express, as well as a frequent commentator on countless NWA broadcasts.

Furthermore, it was also announced that a special addition will be stepping into the broadcast booth to call the NWA Championship bout between Cody and Nick Aldis. Former WCW lead announcer and current member of Major League Wrestling's commentary team, Tony Schiavone, will be on the mic for NWA 70's main event. Together, Schiavone and Cornette have over three decades of commentary experience and nearly as long a history with the NWA.
