Ex-UFC Light-Heavyweight Champ Possibly Coming To WWE?

No, it's not Jon Jones this time...

Tito Ortiz Ufc

PWInsider is reporting there's a chance former UFC Light-Heavyweight Champion Tito Ortiz could finally make his way to WWE.

The 45-year old fighter spent some time at WWE's Performance Center last week, and the website claimed it was an "introductory meeting" designed to let both parties get a feel for what it'd be like to do business together. Things went well, and something could come of it.

Ortiz has previously told PWInsider that he'd like to follow in Cain Velasquez' footsteps and match up against Brock Lesnar in the future. He'd also hinted that WWE might be able to cross-promote with UFC if they ever brokered a deal.

That's unlikely, but Ortiz in WWE isn't as far-fetched as some might think.

Tito has worked extensively with TNA over the years, and last appeared as part of the Aces & Eights storyline back in 2013. He follows current UFC Light-Heavyweight Champ Jon Jones as the latest MMA man to link himself to WWE.

Ortiz, who held the same belt Jones wears for 1,260 days between 2000-2003, would fit WWE's apparent need to bring in part-timers like Velasquez and boxer Tyson Fury.
