Exact Reasons These 10 Wrestlers Have Failed In WWE

2. The Revival

Reason: "Too pro wrestling".

The Revival might not be long for WWE. Recent news pegs the promotion as confident about re-signing the tag-team, but other reports suggest hints are being dropped that Dash and Dawson would rather ply their trade elsewhere. It wouldn't exactly be a surprise if they fancied a crack at AEW in 2020.

Vince McMahon previously said last October that some on the roster were "too pro wrestling", and there's no doubt that a traditional tag-team like The Revival would fit into that category. They wear their old-school influences proudly, openly speak out against hokey gimmicks and work a no-frills in-ring style.

It's easy to see why they've been repeatedly overlooked then.

If McMahon isn't fond of acts that favour traditionalist elements, then he'll never be a fan of Dash and Dawson. This would also explain why The Revival are pushed into (literally) hammy matches like that 'Miracle On 34th Street Fight' against Heavy Machinery.
