Reason: Too similar to Dolph Ziggler.

WWE's creative team agreed to book Tyler Breeze against Dolph Ziggler when they called the selfie-obsessed heel up from NXT in 2015. The basis for the feud was solid; Breeze viewed himself as a superior version of Dolph, and the veteran wanted to put the brash upstart in his place.

Vince wasn't a fan.

According to The Observer, McMahon nixed Breeze's push quickly because he didn't think it was working or that the ex-NXT man was on Ziggler's level. Surely that was the whole point of the feud – to get Breeze on Ziggler's level with the more casual audience watching Raw and SmackDown.

Uh uh, said Vince. He believed that the obvious similarities between both men did neither any favours and squashed Tyler's push before it could really get going. That first impression pretty much sealed Breeze's fate, dashed his hopes and eventually sent him spinning back towards NXT.
