Exploring 6 Different Scenarios For WWE Title Match At WrestleMania 31
4. Seth Rollins Becomes WWE Champion After Reigns Wins
This one makes a lot of sense as a possibility due to the history that Rollins has with Reigns. They were good friends in The Shield until Rollins turned on him (and Dean Ambrose) last year. It's an easy story to tell with Rollins saying he doesn't want Reigns to be WWE Champion because that would make him the strongest member of The Shield, so following a Reigns win, that's when Rollins strikes. Just like the previous scenario, imagine something where Reigns has just defeated Lesnar in a competitive 20-25 minute match where they each kicked out of finishers and Reigns was able to put him away. That brings out Rollins. He capitalizes on a tired Reigns, pins him and he leaves as WWE Champion. A big reason why this scenario makes sense is they could headline multiple PPVs with Reigns trying to chase Rollins for the title or put somebody else out there as the chllenger. Lesnar, meanwhile, would be out of the picture assuming he doesn't wrestle again until SummerSlam. If WWE wants Reigns to be their top face it puts him in that position as the top challenger for the heel champion Rollins. They could also have Randy Orton challenging Rollins. There are also guys like Daniel Bryan and Dean Ambrose that would make top contenders as well. The finish at WrestleMania is important, but putting the WWE Title on Rollins also allows WWE to set up for the future as well.
