Exploring 6 Different Scenarios For WWE Title Match At WrestleMania 31

3. Roman Reigns Turns Heel (With Heyman) To Become New WWE Champion

It's an idea that is gaining a lot of steam because Paul Heyman has mentioned many times that he has known Reigns since he was a little boy and been around his family for a very long time. That backstory makes people think that maybe WWE will listen to the fans hating on Reigns, then have Heyman assist him in a heel turn and the night could end with Reigns celebrating with the WWE Title as well as his new advocate, Paul Heyman. We've seen Heyman turn on clients before. He did it to Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series 2002 when he backed Big Show to the gold. That was a way to turn Lesnar a face before his WrestleMania match against Kurt Angle. He also did it in 2013 when he turned on CM Punk during a Money in the Bank ladder match. Think of the Lesnar rib injury. What is Roman's finisher? A spear, which involves tackling a guy in the ribs. If there's a ref bump or a spot where Heyman can hand Reigns a chair and have him attack the ribs that could set up for the finish. Reigns hits Lesnar with three Spears in a row, then pins him and Heyman celebrates. Heyman could sell this angle beautifully in the weeks that follow. He can say that Lesnar isn't a full time wrestler the way Reigns is. He could add that Reigns is younger, more athletic and can dominate for the next decade while Lesnar only has a few years left. Heyman can say that he was backing a different guy because he believes in him more. It also provides a solution for Reigns' lack of promo ability. He's only an average talker or some might say below average. Give him Heyman as a mouthpiece. Reigns won't have to speak regularly. He can be the Samoan badass that can say "I did what I had to do" to conquer the conqueror Lesnar. This scenario is very intriguing. It's definitely a possibility because Reigns is likely going to get booed by a lot of fans at WrestleMania just like he did at the Royal Rumble, so if they're going to boo then why not play into it? Give him the WWE Title and Heyman as his manager. It could lead to a great run for Reigns. This is my favorite idea of the bunch, but I'm not sold on it actually happening.
