6. The Dark Order
Gunn Club's reign as AEW Trios Champions should last a month, at most. This is a reign that only exists to give Billy one last run on top, while giving his sons the start to what could very well be flourishing careers for the pair of them.
Thus, they'll meet their match in the form of The Dark Order, which would be represented here in the form of John Silver, Alex Reynolds, and their newest member, Adam Page. The story is clearly leaning towards 'Hangman' joining Mr. Brodie Lee's cult, and so he slots in perfectly.
Ideally, the Gunn family's run would begin on a random episode of Dynamite, perhaps a marquee episode in the same vein as a Bash At The Beach or a Winter Is Coming. It leads nicely into a pay-per-view title win for Silver, Reynolds, and Page, who easily destroy Billy, Austin, and Colten - just like how Brodie dethroned Cody of the TNT Championship.
Because of the size of the stable, The Dark Order are a perfect fit for trios championships. They can either stick to the three-man squad who lift the titles, or use the Freebird Rule to allow other members to also be recognised as a champion.
