Fascinating WWE Ideas That Flopped HARD!

5. The Electric Chair

Back in 2019, it was somewhat rare to witness a WWE performer deliver words on the mic that weren't painfully and heavily scripted beforehand.

So, when Sami Zayn hopped onto a now somewhat infamous Electric Chair back on the May 27 edition of Raw that year, the potential was there for the beginning of something special and quite refreshing.

A star being able to genuinely unleash off-the-cuff responses to unrehearsed questions? Sure sounds better than another uninspiring 10-minute monologue explaining why (insert heel name) turned their back on "you people."

A few questions into the debut of The Electric Chair, though, it was obvious Zayn wasn't going to be provoked into creating a controversial piece of television by an audience who were more concerned about his retirement date than creating headlines.

Not even Sami dropping in a cheeky nod to the All Elite competition could save the dud of a segment in the end.

And what once looked like a way to mix up the largely stale WWE promo presentation, and produce a little bit of unpredictable television along the way, was swiftly cancelled after this awkward experiment flopped.
