Fascinating WWE Ideas That Flopped HARD!
6. Tribal Combat
Despite a rather divisive WrestleMania 39 ending, and several increasingly dramatic main event wars against the likes of Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens or their own family members, The Bloodline saga still felt unquestionably hot heading into SummerSlam 2023.
And that excitement only grew with the announcement of former 'Right Hand Man' Jey Uso taking on his cousin in a match under Tribal Combat rules in Detroit.
What made this particular stipped-up war between the two so intriguing this time around was the fact that said rules stated that no one could interfere in the action until the No DQ battle was over, seemingly killing any chances of yet another shenanigans-stuffed Roman Reigns title defence.
Only, rather than a hard-hitting and super emotional fight between just the two family members over both the Universal strap and title of 'Tribal Chief', fans were eventually put through the longest Bloodline "epic" yet as that aforementioned interference rule was hilariously broken not once, but twice!
Tribal Combat could have been a brutal and honourable end to yet another gripping chapter, but eventually just went down in history as a flop of a contest that very nearly derailed the entire saga.
