Forget Deadpool & Wolverine: 10 Potential WWE Universe Anchor Beings
5. The Rock
If Cena is within the discussion for being a potential anchor being despite not actively wrestling as much in the past few years, but for being the most popular person who breached out into Hollywood, the debate needs to come around to Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
The People's Champ had less consecutive years on top, and was always in a race with Stone Cold Steve Austin for the top dog spot, but he blew up into the biggest pop culture star of the past 20-something years. That global recognition is magnified whenever he returns to WWE, wherein he is immediately revered as a cut above the rest.
He is even more of a household name than Cena and in the history books, goes down as the special attraction brought in to face Cena, which puts him a bit on a pedestal.
As mentioned with Orton, there's something to be said about family history and lineage. Johnson brings even more of that to the table as part of the Anoa'i dynasty, which has been at the forefront of WWE storytelling for the past few years.
Coupling all that with his impressive records and the idea that he is now an executive helping run the company as part of the TKO board of directors makes him one of the most influential people in WWE history who will continue to shape it for years to come.
