Having been working dates for the promotion since last year, EC3 has now officially signed with Billy Corgan's National Wrestling Alliance.

This news was announced during the pre-show for last night's NWA Nuff Said PPV, with the former WWE and IMPACT man the latest name to pen a deal with Corgan's company.

At Nuff Said, EC3 later scored a submission victory over Kevin Kiley, who WWE fans will know better as Alex Riley. That bout was only Kiley's second in-ring outing since 2016.

As for EC3, he's by this point a 21-year veteran of the business, having made his debut back in 2002. Seven years later would see the Ohio native sign with WWE, where he was initially a part of the Florida Championship Wrestling developmental system as Derrick Bateman, before being a part of the fourth season of NXT in its gameshow guise.

Upon being released by WWE in 2013, it didn't take long for the real-life Michael Hutter to debut in TNA under the mantle of Ethan Carter III, the kayfabe nephew of Dixie Carter. There, EC3 would become a main event act and have two reigns with the company's World Title.

The success of that TNA run saw WWE bring back the star - complete with his EC3 name - in 2018, where a relatively shot stint in NXT was followed by a hugely disappointing time on the main roster. Like so many, Carter was released by WWE in 2020 as part of the market leader's pandemic-driven "budget cuts".

Since departing WWE for the second time, the 39-year-old has launched his own Control Your Narrative promotion in addition to competing for the likes of ROH, OVW, GLCW, and of course the NWA.
