FOX Leave CM Punk Out Of Raw's WWE Backstage Hype

Has the culture changed again already?

CM Punk, WWE Backstage

CM Punk was nowhere to be found when WWE hyped the next episode of Backstage during Monday's Raw.

The host, who returned as part of the show's lineup on 12 November last year, has been used as a lure for fans who might've been sitting on the fence about even more WWE content. It's therefore confusing that he wasn't even advertised.

Adding to the confusion, FOX's official Twitter account responded to a fan's understandable question about whether or not Punk would be featured. "Yes he will be", came the cry. Weird.

It's worth noting that Punk hasn't been seen in several weeks, but one would think that WWE and FS1 would want to make a big deal out of any appearance they can squeeze from him. The same goes (to a lesser extent) for Booker T; he wasn't advertised for the next episode of Backstage either.

Becky Lynch is being plugged as the big draw for this week's show. She'll appear as a guest alongside regulars Renee Young, Christian and Paige on the talk show-style weekly. Punk will be there too, according to FOX.

Nothing about this omission makes any sense.
