GFW: 6 Sides Of Impact (20/07/2017)
3. Four Man Collision
Continuing the trend of non-singles matches, the next bout on the card was a four way dance between Eli Drake, EC3, Moose, and Eddie Edwards... but not before GFW crammed in some classic Impact Wrestling nonsense by plugging fellow Pop TV show, Swole-Mates, at the expense of Eli Drake.
When the match was finally underway, each man proved just why they are all worthy of the main event scene. Moose in particular was on fire in the early going, until Drake and Carter made use of the numbers game to take him out of the match.
Focusing their attention on Edwards, Drake and Carter continued their momentary allegiance by trading suplexes on the former American Wolf before Edwards took out both men with a snappy double head scissors. Taking advantage of the opening, Moose once again asserted his dominance by sending Edwards crashing on top of the heels with a big running powerbomb to the outside.
Despite the rally from Moose, Edwards soon found himself alone in the ring with EC3. Carter would eventually get the better of his smaller foe, driving Edwards' head into the mat with the “1 Percenter”; however, with Moose preventing the cover, it was Drake that slid in to cover the KO’d Edwards and steal the victory.
With a stop/start push in recent weeks, the win for Drake is hopefully a sign of things to come for the star in waiting.
