GFW: 6 Sides Of Impact (20/07/2017)

4. Three Way Warfare

In what was perhaps the match of the night, Matt Sydal looked to continue his winning ways against former X-Division Champion, Low-Ki, and AAA’s El Hijo de Fantasma.

From the outset, Fantasma impressed with some great moves for his size, including some textbook dropkicks and a particularly slick top rope rana. Meanwhile, Low-Ki's believable style meshed well with Sydal in particular, who was the ultimate sympathetic babyface in this match.

This fact was never more evident than when Low-Ki delivered a sickening “Warrior’s Way” double-foot stomp to Sydal while Sydal himself was being held helpless in a Mexican surfboard by Fantasma.

Low-Ki would deliver another “Warrior’s Way” soon after, this time to Fantasma, followed by a cover that was spectacularly broken up by Sydal with a beautifully devastating Shooting Star Press; a move that will surely make the GFW highlight reel for weeks to come.

With his hand once again raised in victory, Sydal is surely the people’s choice for X-Division Champ and his post-match promo requesting a title shot proved that he too shared those sentiments.

Just when it looked like Sydal and the crowd would get their wish, a PO’d Lashley took exception and came down to demand a title shot of his own against Alberto El Patron. When Sydal voiced his displeasure at the interruption, Lashley responded by splitting him in half with a spear.

They don’t call him “Walking Amrageddon” for nothing.
