GFW: 6 Sides Of Impact (20/07/2017)

2. LAX-Factor

El Patron LAX
GFW Impact

Following last week’s beatdown of Alberto El Patron by the reformed Latin American Xchange, there were a lot of questions heading into the show closing segment between Konnan’s group of rebels and the GFW Champion.

After airing vignettes all night long of LAX threatening El Patron’s father, Dos Caras, and his brother, El Hijo de Dos Caras, Konnan raised the stakes even further by unleashing his gang of thugs on Patron’s family. In a vicious attack, LAX clubbed Patron’s brother with kendo sticks before attempting to unmask the legendary Dos Caras in the ring.

Naturally, the assault brought out the GFW Champ, who arrived to put a halt to proceedings, prompting Konnan to lay down the ultimatum to El Patron: join LAX or else. After some mid-ring musing, in the best interest of his family, El Patron reluctantly agreed to Konnan’s demands, donning the colours of LAX and submitting himself to man once known as K-Dogg.

Luckily, this is wrestling and, rather than accept his fate, Patron decided to make use of the dormant kendo sticks lying in wait in the ring. Teeing off on everything that moved, El Patron sent his rivals fleeing while the champ tore off the LAX shirt like a Latino Hulk Hogan as Patronamania ran wild.

How LAX will retaliate remains to be seen; however, the results surely won’t be good for the former Alberto Del Rio. With the ever-present threat of ex-champ, Lashley looming in the background, El Patron is definitely a marked man in GFW.
