GLOW Season 2: Ranking Every Character Worst To Best

2. Sam Sylvia

GLOW Marc Maron
Netflix

Marc Maron's Sam was a sleazebag director with a heart hiding deep underneath it all in Season 1. In Season 2, while he's still not exactly the best person in the world, he's very much trying to be better and the heart is more clearly on display.

As a father to Justine and a co-worker and potential love interest for Ruth the show touches on his own vulnerabilities and shortcomings, letting him play with much more emotional range that he totally nails. It's not all serious though because, when required, Maron is still the most reliable comedic performer on the series too.

NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far. A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
