Goldberg's 10 Best Moments Ever

9. The Bounty

After Goldberg captured the WWE World Heavyweight Championship from Triple H, he was a marked man. Hunter wanted someone to do his dirty work him, so he placed a price tag on his adversary’s head to the tune of $100,000.

To collect the money was easy (or so Hunter seemed to think); all somebody had to do was put Goldberg out of action. To make things more dangerous for the new champ, the bounty could be collected anywhere - a parking lot, backstage, a bathroom, at a gas station...anywhere!

What ensued was a variety of wrestlers trying their best to take the champ out. Stevie Richards, Mark Henry, Rodney Mack, and Tommy Dreamer all gave it a shot, but each one came up short, and probably regretted their decision.

Then during a Shawn Michaels vs. Goldberg match on Raw, Batista came to collect. He disposed of HBK, then went to town beating up the Heavyweight Champ. He gave him a spinebuster, a Batista Bomb and then snapped his ankle with a chair. Triple H was impressed enough to hand him the cash. It was a fun angle that gave Batista a bit of a rub and set up Goldberg as a sympathetic face out for revenge.

Goldberg ended up returning to action a few weeks later, so perhaps Triple H asked for a bit of a refund on that payment.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
