Goldberg's 10 Best Moments Ever

6. Jackhammering The Giant

Goldberg ended up giving the jackhammer to The Giant a couple of times before the big man left WCW, but the one he gave him on Nitro on 23 Nov. 1998 was easily the best.

Goldberg was the Heavyweight Champion at the time, and was white hot. The company was setting up their biggest match of the year at Starrcade with him facing off against Kevin Nash. To make Goldberg seem more unstoppable than ever before, he went out and manhandled The Giant, making him look like the lowliest of jobbers.

Just a few minutes into the match, he speared the future Big Show, and the announcers began questioning if he could actually hit the Jackhammer. He did so with amazing ease. He got impressive hang-time on The Giant, and slammed him down to the mat with great force.

The pop that spot created is like nothing you hear these days, and The Giant wasn't even a top star at that point anymore. Everything soon went to hell for the company, but for a few brief moments, they were still on top of the wrestling world.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
