'Hangman' Adam Page is your new AEW World Champion.

In a 25-minute barnburner of a main event, Page toppled Kenny Omega to take home the company's biggest prize at AEW Full Gear 2021.

After receiving a nod of approval from Matt Jackson - The Young Bucks having made their way to ringside by this point in the bout - Hangman hit a second Buckshot Lariat on Kenny to score the 1-2-3. Post-match, Page opted to discard a beer in favour of sharing a group hug with his Dark Order buddies as AEW pulled the trigger on a story two years in the making.

Elsewhere at Full Gear, Dr. Britt Baker, DMD and The Lucha Bros. were both successful in retaining their respective AEW Women's Championship and AEW Tag Team Titles; Baker besting Tay Conti, and Penta and Fenix defeating FTR.

Full Gear started off hot with MJF nailing Darby Allin with a Dynamite Diamond ring shot to pick up the cheap victory, before we later got Bryan Danielson getting the W over Miro to earn himself a shot at the AEW World Title. Following that contest, Christian Cage and Jurassic Express got the better of The Superkliq, Cody Rhodes and PAC beat Andrade and Malakai Black, CM Punk was just about able to put Eddie Kingston down in a brutal war, and The Inner Circle beat American Top Team.

In one other major talking point, Full Gear also saw an appearance from former ROH World Champion Jay Lethal, who announced he'd signed with Tony Khan's promotion - and will face Sammy Guevara for the TNT Title on this week's AEW Dynamite.
