How 8 WCW Mega-Stars Fared In WWE

7. Bill Goldberg

Bill Goldberg is one of Eric Bischoff€™s claim to fame. He€™s a rare, homegrown WCW talent who exploded onto the scene in 1997. He was thrust into the spotlight and trailed onto a (debatable) 173 match win-streak. His WCW success simultaneously mirrored another bald-headed badass€™s who at the time was leading the WWE charge, leaving fans to clamor for a dream match between the two. Like Sting at the conclusion of WCW, we didn€™t get Goldberg in WWE right away. But when we did however, it was brief. His one-year tenure fell short of a success, and perhaps the timing wasn€™t right for a return. He started off his WWE career by feuding with a clownishly-heel Hollywood Rock, then a brief run with the World Title off a man he was booked to look weaker to (surprise: Triple H), and then an awful WrestleMania final match against an NFL-bound Brock Lesnar, where the MSG fans ensured the door would hit the two on their way out. But hey, at least he got to have a beer bash with Stone Cold Steve Austin. Bucket-list: Check.
