How Vince McMahon's Most Famous WWE Words Will Come Back To Haunt Him

He fights fair, is respectful and conscientious, and doesn't abide industry legends getting their heads kicked off. Portrayed almost as a custodian of an older, better way of doing things, it's almost shocking how competently he's booked.

WWE elsewhere, in short, has lost the plot. What's happened is that the detached billionaire running the operation, never truly in touch with the real world, has insulated himself to such an extent that he has become unable to recognise virtue and pretend that he can understand it enough to apply it to his "creations". Vince McMahon isn't a particularly nice bloke.

When he's not going full Moolah and taking his piece of the Twitch cut, he's, as we've recently learned, threatening to fire a troubled woman for inviting yet more "Slut!" chants via the vehicle of a Live Sex Celebration. He hasn't been well positioned to book a babyface for a long time.

All of this has been thrown into even sharper relief by the competition getting it right time and time again.
