How WrestleMania 40 Will Ruin Triple H's WWE Story

Even before 'The Great One' seemingly shoved Cody out of the way and completely undermined one of the most important matches/shows of the year in the Rumble, 'Papa H' and WWE had made a pig's ear of the real most important story of the year.

In what was the first proper opportunity the company had to openly discuss the disgusting sexual assault and sex trafficking accusations found in the lawsuit against Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and WWE as a company, how did Paul Levesque respond to questions about the disturbing subject during the post-Rumble press conference?

By admitting he hadn't read the aforementioned document and talking up the otherwise positive week WWE had experienced because he didn't want to "get bogged down in the negatives of it."

Sure, Triple H did also note how the company were doing "everything possible" to keep WWE employees safe. But the feeling felt by many coming out of that presser was that things could have definitely been handled far better, with Levesque's deflecting and evading of the uncomfortable but vital questions now becoming yet another self-inflicted scar on his WWE legacy.

While folks were less than impressed with the king of creative's handling of real-life situations, though, at least he was still rewarding faith and giving WWE fans the hotly anticipated babyface triumphs they'd been begging for all year.

Yeah, about that.
