Huge Update On Vince McMahon/Triple H Power Dynamic In WWE

Latest on Vince McMahon and Triple H following the former's Raw return last week.

Vince McMahon was backstage at last week's WWE Raw, reportedly attending the show to visit returning star John Cena, though there was likely more to the situation than the promotion would let you believe.

Dave Meltzer reported as much on Sunday Night's Main Event. He stated that WWE would "want you to believe" that Paul 'Triple H' Levesque was still in charge of proceedings, with the company line being that although McMahon offers his son-in-law WWE advice, Levesque, ultimately, makes the important creative decisions.

Meltzer stated that Levesque remains in charge - and was "giving all the orders" last Monday, despite Vince's presence. Nonetheless, McMahon's attendance could have ramifications in the "long run."

Additionally, Meltzer claimed to have been told outright that there was more to McMahon attending Raw than him simply visiting Cena.

Forced to resign in disgrace amidst sexual misconduct allegations last July, McMahon, 77, has been back in WWE since January, returning to the Board of Directors as Executive Chairman. Levesque was appointed the company's head of creative following Vince's initial departure in the summer.

Vince claimed in a January press release that he was returning to WWE to facilitate a sale and assist with the company's next round of media rights negotiations.
