HUGE WWE Title Match Announced For Monday's Raw
WWE has pushed this planned Extreme Rules title bout forward to Monday's Raw.
WWE has seemingly pushed a planned Extreme Rules match forward to this coming Monday's episode of Raw.
The company announced during Friday's SmackDown show that Bobby Lashley will defend his belt against Randy Orton on the flagship. Previously, all signs pointed towards that bout happening on the 26 September pay-per-view - admittedly, it still could. WWE might book some sort of screwy DQ finish and then set up a rematch for Extreme Rules.
This is all part of a plan to cram as many major matches onto Raw as possible.
The Lashley vs. Orton title showdown is joined by Charlotte Flair vs. Shayna Baszler (Flair's Raw Women's strap won't be on the line there) and Damian Priest's United States Title 'Open Challenge'. There's no word yet on who will answer the call for that one.
WWE are also hyping an eight-man tag. Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, Mansoor and Mustafa Ali vs. AJ Styles, Omos, T-Bar and Mace has also been announced.
Lashley vs. Orton is the biggest match on tap though. Who knows if this will be Randy's only shot, or if he'll pull double duty and defend the Raw Tag Titles too come late-September.
