Hulk Hogan: 5 Awesome Matches And 5 That Sucked

1. Hollywood Hogan vs. Kevin Nash - Monday Nitro January 4th 1999

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPNq3hGWolM The Fingerpoke Of Doom It's arguable that this could even be considered a match at all. In no doubt one of the most irritating screwball finishes in wrestling history, January 4th's Monday Nitro pitted Kevin Nash (the champion and leader of the Wolfpac faction of the nWo) against Hogan, who led the Hollywood faction, for the title. The crowd was electric for the start of the match. But as the two men stared at eachother and Hogan poked Nash in the chest with his index finger, knocking him to the ground, it became clear that the nWo had reunited into a singular entity again. This was also the same episode of Nitro at which announcer Tony Schiavone gave away the results of WWF's Raw, prompting 600,000 fans to change channels in order to see Mick Foley win his first WWF Championship. Never before has a singular match potentially had as much of a devastating effect on a company as this. As has been said multiple times, it was arguably integral in kicking off the impending descent and eventual dissipation of WCW, in one careless, swift blow. But of course these are just opinions. Do you agree or disagree? Are there any Hogan matches that sucked more than the previous five? Or are there better matches than the first five? Leave your comments below!
