Hulk Hogan's 10 Worst Acting Performances

7. Walker, Texas Ranger

Hulk Hogan Walker Texas Ranger Playing ex-con Boomer Knight in an episode about gang violence called Division Street, Hogan's appearance in Walker, Texas Ranger is probably one of his least offensive performances outside the ring - but it still isn't great. His part sounds more like an after school special on racism and gangs than an actual dramatic role, and when it attempts to become inspirational, it gets downright corny. On the plus side - he got to share the screen with Chuck Norris. Which means there was so much testosterone on the screen, you're lucky your TV didn't explode! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-x_xwzUouQ Hogan, as Boomer, is trying to keep troubled kids out of trouble, and of course runs into - you guessed it - trouble! "God doesn't see us in colours" says Boomer to a team of kids he's coaching, and sounding like he read the line off a pamphlet somewhere (or the pages of a really hackneyed script), then suggests everyone be "Brothers of Christ" - that's a thing? Because, you know at this point in history it would be more like great, great, great, great, great x 50 grand nephews of Christ or something. Okay, so it's not meant to be literal, but it's terrible dialogue, and Hogan looks as if he's nodding off at one point when he's supposed to be nodding along to something Walker has said. His other scenes aren't much better. At one point, the local gang attempts to kill him, and the best you can really say is that Hogan is a better actor than the kid playing the leader of these ragamuffins, who overacts beyond the levels of an actual pro wrestling champion when he utters "I'm not gonna shoot ya, I'm gonna hang ya Boomer!" with a look on his face that pretty much verifies he went to the same Larry Storch School of Acting that Kelly Bundy did on Married with Children. It's B-level cheese, but it fit in with the rest of the Walker, Texas Ranger stuff, and we don't think we're allowed to dis anything involving Chuck Norris on the internet, so lets just leave it at that.
