Hulk Hogan's 26 Losses - From Cleanest To Screwiest

Anyone who tells you that TNA isn't the reincarnation of the worst parts of WCW hasn't seen this match. Or, uh, TNA in general. This match in particular was basically a greatest hits playlist of Hogan WCW tropes: Ric Flair interfering to get beaten up, Eric Bischoff angling to control a company, a post-match where Hogan beats up everyone, and, of course, Sting winning in such a way that it's all about Hogan.

Hogan was badly broken down by this point and couldn’t throw leg drops or big boots, so he literally just punched Sting for 8 or 9 minutes. During that time, Ric Flair appeared to hand Hogan a “spike” that resembled a bar of soap but still caused both wrestlers to bleed uncontrollably. After Sting won with history’s gentlest Scorpion Discomfortlock, Immortal hit the ring and began beating him to death. Sting literally crawled to Hogan begging for help, which caused him to remember that people liking him gives him superpowers. They then joined forces, rained old man punches on Immortal to clear the ring, and then Hogan played his ultimate spotlight-hogging card: standing in the middle of the ring, facing the hard camera, applauding and pointing at a person offscreen, otherwise known as the Randy Savage Special.
