Impact Grant Killer Kross Release
34-year-old is free to compete elsewhere immediately.
Impact's Killer Kross has at long last been allowed his release from the company.
According to Ryan Satin, writing for Pro Wrestling Sheet, the two parties came to an agreement this week that resulted in a separation. Kross, 34, is not burdened with a non-compete clause, and will be allowed to wrestle elsewhere with immediate effect.
Kross has been trying to escape his Impact contract since the company refused his petition for a raise earlier this year. Rather than increase his income, company officials instead told him to seek secondary employment.
The Nevadan has not wrestled for the promotion on television since their impasse, last appearing at July's Slammiversary XVII in a draw with Eddie Edwards. He has continued to work for Impact's partners AAA in the months since.
Impact released a very brusque statement on their official website, confirming Kross' departure, sans even the usual blandishments WWE reserves for releases:
IMPACT Wrestling has come to terms on the release of Kevin Kesar (Killer Kross).
It's unknown at present what Kross' next destination will be, though presumably there'll be no shortage of suitors competing for his signature.
