Impact Wrestling. 24th November Last week, James Storm blamed everyone for jumping him, including AJ Styles. But in the end it was Kurt Angle returning and taking the credit for the attack. Felt the need to explain that since I didnt do the results last week. In the arena, Kurt Angle is on his way to the ring. Kurt says he didnt attack Storm from behind, Storm just didnt see him coming. He has cat like reflexes you see. Not surprisingly, Storm comes out to respond. Storm talks about how this has gone beyond personal, its now business. What isnt it normally bad when its the other way around? Kurt claims Storm screwed him out of his title. Storm wants to fight instead, and so takes a swig of beer. Angle says he doesnt want to fight but he knows a few who do, and brings out Daniels, Jarrett and Bully Ray. Angle berates him, Storm spits out some story about his daughter then drops Kurt with a right hand and runs off. Anderson, RVD and Styles hit the ring and brawl with the other guys in there. Security holds Storm back away from Kurt. This is all to set up an elimination Tag later in the show. Somewhere outside, Eric Young is driving a weird bike around with a referee. They also have a cooler box or something with a turkey costume in it. This can only end in hilarity, surely. I should point out that its Thanksgiving.
TNA Tag Titles - Mexican America vs. Matt Morgan and Crimson Morgan and Crimson won the titles last week. It starts off in a big brawl and Hernandez gets dumped to the floor. Crimson gives Anarquia snake eyes and a clothesline. Then a fireman carry take down and a tag to Morgan. Hernandez is on the apron and Morgan boots him back to the floor. Double Choke Slam from the Champions and an easy pin. TNAs only other tag team BURIED by Crimson and Matt Morgan. Backstage, Young and Rudy Charles is telling the two Robbies that its a Turkey match tonight. Robbie E is not happy and goes off to find Sting. Karen Jarretts Knockout team hit the ring and she calls out practically the rest of the Knockouts locker room besides Mickie James. Karen says that people are still wanting to see more skin. She also tells them that the only real athlete among them is Gail Kim. Karen makes the first ever Lingerie Bowl in TNA. She says if anyone says no, they can leave. When we come back, TNT and Velvet are with Christy and theyre sick of this. Tara says she thought she left this crap behind her. Then we find out that its now called the Thanksgiving THONG THUNDER. Thing is, their ring gear is all just as revealing as lingerie anyway Elsewhere backstage, Mickie James storms in and demands to speak to Gail in private. Thankfully they forget to close the door entirely, just like everyone else in TNA so the cameras can listen in. Shes disgusted that Gail would let this happen after everything shes stood for. Gail tells her if she doesnt like it, hand in your notice. Then they get into a brawl, which Madison helps Gail get the better of.
THANKSGIVING THONG THUNDER THROWDOWN THURSDAYAngelina Love, Winter & Madison vs. Velvet, Tara and Tess Velvet and Tess are cheating by wearing oversized shirts but they remove them. To me, none of them are really wearing anything they wouldnt already wear in the ring. In fact these lingerie outfits are LESS revealing for the most part. When we come back from the break, Tara is hitting her standing moonsault. She tags in Tess who throws Winter around with some arm drags. Winter gets a bit lost on her way to the ropes and then falls to a dropkick. Madison runs in and gets all over Tess. Winter then gets a turn dominating Tess, then when Angelina comes in they take each other down with a hair grab face buster apiece. Tags on both ends, Velvet is the hot tag. She goes for sit out Pedigree but Winter breaks it and theyre all fighting now. The ref goes outside to check on them fighting, while Madison hits her knee to the head on Velvet. Then she lifts the title belt, but Mickie runs out and takes it from her and drops her on the rope. Sit out Pedigree from Velvet. And a three. Jeff Hardy is wandering about in that stupid mask. Karen is actually fighting MY corner about the knockouts being more covered up than usual, then tells them next week she picks the costumes. Jeff Hardy comes out to the arena, dodgy mask and all. But hes walking funny and taking a bit too much care not to let his hood fall down. And getting his hand gesture wrong. And when he takes a mic reveals himself to be Jeff Jarrett. He calls him the Charismatic Enema then throws a few more insults Hardys way. Jarrett says the fans can relate cause theyre low lives just like Hardy. Now out comes the real Hardy. (dressed as himself.) He attacks Jarrett but Immortal make the save again. Then comes AJ, RVD and Anderson again to save HARDY from Immortal. Jarrett manages to break free when security get involved and takes Hardy into the steps. A video package highlighting the Turkey suit. Seriously. Lets remember when AJ, Alex Shelley and Eric Young had to wear it.
Turkey Suit MatchRobbie E vs. Eric Young Robbie E first stomps and punches the turkey suit. Referee Rudy Charles aint happy and so he counts really slowly when E pins Eric. Young comes back and gets his belly suplex. Then he has a turkey dance with the ref. This allows Robbie to take something from Rob Terry and nail Eric Young with it. When Rudy Charles raises his arm he drops it and Rudy Charles restarts the match after some ridiculously over the top cheesy acting between the two. E shoves Charles, Eric Young gets back at him and Pile Drives him into the mat to get the three. Post match, Eric Young decides we need someone else to wear the turkey suit and that person is Rob Terry. Rudy Charles tells Rob he has to wear it or Robbie E is stripped of the title. Eric Young gets a TURKEY chant going. And then they put the suit on him and he looks silly. Great TV. Backstage Eric and Rudy are starting training for next years Turkey Suit Match.
AJ Styles, Mr Anderson and RVD vs. Daniels, Bully Ray, Jarrett and Roode Commentators take ages to explain that Kurt Angle is out with Immortal team in a manager role and Jeff Hardy has been ruled not able to compete for his team so it starts off 4 on 3. Also James Storm is with the face team. And Bobby Roode joins commentary to begin with. Anderson gets a fireman carry slam on Daniels then tags in RVD. He gets his step through heel kick for two. Bully Ray gets in and takes over on Rob. RVD manages a tag to Anderson. Anderson gets a sloppy neck breaker for two. Sets up for the plunge but Ray slips out. Roode decides it now time enough to join the action. He tags himself in and covers Anderson to eliminate him. Out of seemingly nothing. AJ gets right in there and takes it to Roode. Roode gives AJ a low blow right in front of the ref, and gets himself eliminated. When we come back , AJ is on the receiving end of a double suplex. When Daniels tags in, he takes a Pele from Styles. Hot tag to Van Dam. Spin kicks for everyone. Rolling Thunder on Daniels. Goes for a 5 Star but Kurt Angle runs over and shoves him off the top rope. Funny how Angle has no problem being at ringside with Karen and Jeff now. Daniels eliminates RVD leaving AJ Styles one against three. Just as Styles has things back in hand, Jeff Hardy makes his way to the ring to compete. Twist of Fate on Daniels to eliminate him. Jarrett runs in, he gets rolled up for another elimination. Bully Ray comes in and boots Hardy in the face. AJ tags himself in, takes down Ray and gets the three and the win. So, AJ Styles is the number one contender, but Jeff Hardy is the one who runs in and easily eliminates two people to help him win. Robert Roode appears back in the ring and decks both winners with his title belt. He sticks a boot on Styles chest and stands tall to end the show.
