IMPACT Wrestling Rebellion 2021: 8 Things That Must Happen

7. Slammiversary Is Confirmed For Sunday, 18 July

As was the case last year on Black Wednesday, WWE's latest batch of Black Thursday releases have a ninety-day no-compete clause, meaning they've got to wait until Wednesday, 14 July before they're legally allowed to wrestle anywhere else.

Funny, that, as All Elite Wrestling could realistically take immediate advantage of this by having some debuts on that night's edition of Dynamite. Also funny is that weekend is sure to be the date of IMPACT's annual Slammiversary pay-per-view; last year's took place on Saturday, 18 July for example.

Assuming IMPACT do stick with that weekend and do stick with the reverted Sunday evening format for pay-per-views, expect to see Slammiversary confirmed for Sunday, 18 July.

You see, Slammiversary is likely going to be the first major event following the no-compete clause expiring. A Dynamite debut for any AEW signings is all well and dandy, as Miro and FTR can tell you, but there's nothing quite like making your debut (or return) for a new (or old) promotion on a pay-per-view.

IMPACT shouldn't just merely announce the date of the 2021 Slammiversary, though. They should go one step further...
