So, this entry was originally titled "Trey Miguel Becomes X Division Champion", but Trey's first title win in IMPACT should be saved for when a bigger audience can witness it. For now, let's stick with Josh Alexander as champion.

'The Walking Weapon' has been at the forefront of the division more or less since Ethan Page, his ex-North partner, departed for pastures new. Reports have circulated previously that the Anthem-helmed promotion is en-route to restoring the X Division of hold; who better to have as the face of that than Josh Alexander?

A tremendously successful tag team career alongside Page aside, Alexander is capable of far much more as a singles performer. His recent Iron Man match vs. TJP was a masterpiece of its genre. They eliminated the fear that comes with a 60-minute clash instantly, maintaining the same pace throughout that resulted in the locker room emptying to watch from ringside.

Need more be said? Alexander is the perfect guy to take this division to new heights, particularly if it's a key objective for the company at the moment. The Ultimate X match is merely another blip on Josh's career-defining run as X Division Champion. It'll be produced to a stellar standard, regardless of its outcome, but a successful defence is a must for the Canadian here.
