Impact's Chris Sabin Interview: Hard To Kill, Bullet Club, Alex Shelley, AEW, And More

You've also been X Division Champion in the past, but seven years ago, you became World Champion. How did it feel to become Impact's top guy?

Sabin: It felt good, to complete the Triple Crown or whatever, to be a Tag Team Champion, X Division Champion, and World Champion. So, you know, it feels good, it's something I can add to my résumé and all that. Do I wish it was a better run? Yeah, I do, but I take the blame for that. Maybe it just wasn't the right time.

Well, you can't win them all. Speaking about big moments, this Saturday is Hard To Kill, where you're facing off against what is essentially a reformed Bullet Club in the main event. What's your mindset like going into this?

Sabin: Yeah, that's great. You know, Kenny Omega is one of the most popular wrestlers today, and just to be a part of this match with him is really cool. It's going to bring a lot of eyes to Impact, to the pay-per-view, and hopefully, we can recapture some fans there.

How have you been preparing for that match since it was announced?

Sabin: Just training, man, training. Last week, Alex Shelley, Rich Swann, and I all got in the ring together to practice and try to come up with some triple-team manoeuvres, and a gameplan and all that. That went really well, so basically just training, and trying to be ready.
