Following yesterday's news that Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. is currently out of action due to injury, there now comes an update on this matter.

While there are still no specifics on what injury Baker is dealing with, the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio saw Dave Meltzer detail how the belief is that this issue will not keep the Role Model on the sidelines for long.

Britt was originally scheduled to face Ruby Soho and Toni Storm in a triple threat offering on last night's AEW Dynamite, but yesterday afternoon saw AEW announce how Baker wasn't cleared to compete. As such, that match became a one-on-one contest between Soho and Storm; a contest Ruby was victorious in, nailing the Destination Unknown for the 1-2-3 after the Good Doctor and her entrance music distracted Toni.

These latest developments come on the back of Toni Storm and Saraya turning heel last week by laying a post-match beatdown on Willow Nightingale, with the former WWE duo's arrogance at having worked at the "other place" putting them on a collision course with the homegrown AEW talent - with Britt Baker of course being an AEW Original.

Baker last wrestled on the 11 January episode of Dynamite, where she and AEW Women's Champion Jamie Hayter emerged victorious over Saraya and Storm. Britt's previous spells out injured saw the ever-entertaining D.M.D. remain a featured part of AEW programming, and it looks like that could again be the case during this current setback.
