As the WWE looks frantically for ways of turning around the disappointing ratings of the past several months, it looks like one of the company’s biggest ever stars may soon be making an appearance on the WWE’s Monday night flagship.

With “Stone Cold” Steve Austin’s new Straight Up Steve Austin show premiering on the USA Network directly after the Monday, August 12th episode of Raw, The Wrestling Observer has speculated that the Texas Rattlesnake himself may turn up on Raw to help promote his new series.

The series itself is a seven-episode interview show in which Austin sits down each week with a different celebrity to discuss their career - in a way that only Steve Austin can. Adding even further fuel to the fire of the multiple-time WWE Champion appearing on Raw is that one of said seven episodes just so happens to feature Austin interviewing the WWE’s hottest star, Becky Lynch.

As mentioned, this is all merely guesswork right now. Particularly where the Becky Lynch episode is concerned, though, having Austin appear on Raw would be a no-brainer in terms of a cross-promotional move that would draw eyeballs to both Straight Up Steve Austin and Raw. Plus, just how cool would it be to see the Bionic Redneck and The Man face-to-face in a WWE ring?

Very cool, that’s how cool.
