Is WWE's Twitch Ban Finally Over?
This follows April's report on WWE lifting its band on third-party earnings.
Further evidence that WWE has ended its controversial ban on wrestling earning revenue through third-party platforms has emerged from Drew Gulak.
The former NXT Cruiserweight Champion was back on Twitch last night, thanking Triple H for being able to do so:-
Yes, I am streaming on Twitch again. Thank you, Papa H! Also my cousin is here with me still and he insisted... please come ask him questions. ?https://t.co/HhSXQL6fqf

WWE's independent contractors were initially banned from using platforms like Twitch to earn money in September 2020. This sparked a number of wrestlers to speak out against the situation, including Paige, and yielded reports of a backstage rebellion. Zelina Vega, a huge Twitch streamer pre-ban, was released by WWE within minutes of posting a pro-unionisation tweet that November, though she later returned to the company.
Fightful Select reported in April that WWE's then-President, Nick Khan, informed talent they would once again be permitted to earn money through third-party platforms on top of their contracts with the company during a backstage meeting. Cameo, signings, and scripted and unscripted programming were all mentioned, and the meeting was received with unanimous positivity.
If Gulak was streaming on Twitch last night, it suggests that the move has now come into play. Triple H's changes as WWE's new head of creative and talent relations continue.
