It's Official: WWE Has Never Been Worse

2019 was atrocious in an inexplicable way.

Vince had long since lost it, with his Two out of Three Falls obsession, and the year played out like his promotion had finally got what it had asked for. Dead crowds watched on as stigmatised midcard acts were forced to recite The Rock-adjacent scripted material and very little made sense from one week to the next. Planet's Champion Daniel Bryan was an exceptional aberration, and WWE promoted some excellent matches under the "look at the f*cking roster, it's impossible not to" principle, but it was mostly sh*te. It was so sh*te, in fact, that every week generated a new inadvertently hilarious development to dunk on. Rowan's doppelgänger! Rowan's spider! Jesus Christ how rubbish was Hell In A Cell, eh? WWE, for the worst of reasons mind you, remained worthy of discussion. People still gave a sh*t about it. The product was often compared to the WCW scene of 2000. What WWE is in 2021 is somehow worse. It is a tundra of interest.

The worst thing about the WWE of 2021 is that few seem to still give a sh*t about it. The chronically awful sh*t that WWE churns out is simply too dull and familiar to bury. WWE's generally dire output doesn't even make headlines. A champion ate a pin again. The opening verbal segment lasted too long and the dialogue was fake. Several disqualification finishes happened on the same show. If any of this happened on Dynamite, people would experience a f*cking meltdown.

WWE ritually does just incredibly stupid things, but the kicker is that it is entirely expected now.
