It's Official: WWE Has Never Been Worse
The very second Nikki ASH and Rhea Ripley won the RAW Women's Tag Team titles, they started losing. In WWE, being a champion makes you worse, somehow. This is unfathomably stupid! It's like a soldier being less effective on the battlefield after they've armed themselves. And because this nonsense has prevailed for so long, investment is futile. You know it's going to be sh*t. It can't not be sh*t. It is the show's nature to be sh*t. That which isn't sh*t - yes yes you all like Roman Reigns, careful about making him into the rule-proving exception - is almost guaranteed to become sh*t at some sh*tty point or other.
WWE in 2021 is simply a drab type of crap, and Vince McMahon has stumbled upon a new formula to make it even more low-effort and pointless. His new trick is to make a match with a DQ finish leading to some angle or other 25 minutes long, for literally no other reason than it's easier for him to not book anything else. 25 minutes of Kevin Owens Vs. Seth Rollins on telly just to get to Big E's interference spot, Jesus wept. Here.
What do the following matches have in common?
Bret Hart Vs. Steve Austin, March 23, 1997. The Undertaker Vs. Edge, March 30, 2008. Chris Jericho Vs. Shawn Michaels, March 30, 2003. Daniel Bryan Vs. Kofi Kingston, April 7, 2019.
If you answered "they're the most fondly-remembered matches from that year's WrestleMania show," you'd be right. But another answer is:
