AEW star Jamie Hayter has broken her silence regarding her recent absence from television, revealing that she is currently in the UK sorting out a visa renewal.

The former AEW Women’s World Champion took to X with an update, reassuring fans that there’s nothing to worry about.

Just getting a new visa, no big deal, no issues. Cheers!” Hayter wrote.

This comes after weeks of speculation from fans questioning why she hasn’t been seen on AEW programming since her January 22nd match against Julia Hart on Dynamite. In the meantime, Hayter did wrestle an independent match for Pro Wrestling Eve in the UK last month, picking up a victory over Alex Windsor. However, her latest absence isn’t due to injury or any other health-related reason, which is a particular relief for fans who saw her sidelined for 15 months between May 2023 and August 2024 due to two herniated discs in her back. The serious injury kept her out of action for over a year before she made her triumphant return in at All In: London last summer.

Hayter was in the midst of a multi-match feud with Hart before her sudden departure. The two traded wins, with the former beating the latter on the aforementioned Dynamite and setting the stage for a potential rubber match down the line. It's unclear when she'll return, though pleasingly it should only be a matter of paperwork and patience.
