Jeff Hardy Cleared To Return To WWE
Welcome back, Brother Nero.
Jeff Hardy has been medically cleared to return to active WWE competition.
This is according to the man himself during last night's WWE Backstage broadcast, on which he was an in-studio guest.
Jeff was hurt shortly after WrestleMania 35. He'd just become a SmackDown Tag Team Champion alongside brother Matt but was struck down by a serious knee injury, putting him out for somewhere between 6-9 months and forcing the Hardys to vacate. The misfortune just kept coming from there, however, with Jeff arrested for public intoxication in July, then again in October.
Hardy spoke about this on Backstage, saying: "on the night of October the 3rd I got in some trouble. The morning of October the 4th I arranged for me to go to inpatient rehab for the first time in my life. It was one of the best things I could have ever done for myself, and I've done something every day to better myself."
Great to hear that Jeff is seemingly back on the right track after such a turbulent period. It was reported last month that he had been training for a comeback at the WWE Performance Center, so that could come to fruition soon.
