Jey Uso's WWE Singles Push Is Officially OVER (WWE News)
The Usos are officially back together as a tag team.
Having had plenty of singles success across the past two years, it appears that Jey Uso is returning to WWE's tag team ranks for the foreseeable future.
Last week saw Main Event Jey throw a tantrum after losing to LA Knight in the semi-finals of The Last Time Is Now Tournament, with Uso trashing the ringside area, and later being extremely frustrated when confronted backstage by Jackie Redmond. As that brief interview with Jackie ended, Jey proclaimed how titles looked better over Roman Reigns' shoulders than his own.
Skip ahead to last night's Raw, and the Usos let it be known that they're officially back in the tag team division. This came after AJ Styles and Dragon Lee had successfully retained the World Tag Team Titles against the War Raiders, and Styles and Lee were confronted by both the New Day and the reunited Usos. Jimmy Uso said that this reunion was his idea as a way to help Jey get back on track after some recent losses, and the segment ended with the Usos laying out the New Day and having a staredown with the World Tag Team Champions.
Jimmy and Jey have had five straight-up, televised, two-on-two tag team matches together across 2025 so far, most recently in a WarGames advantage match on the Raw prior to this year's Survivor Series, but this is the first time in a couple of years where the twins have made it clear that they're formally back as a permanent tag team, and that they have their eyes on tag team gold.
As alluded to, since Jey split from his brother and switched to the Raw brand in September 2023, he's picked up a big singles win over Jimmy at WrestleMania 40, won the Intercontinental Championship from Bron Breakker in September 2024, won the 2025 men's Royal Rumble, and toppled Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 41, in addition to being one of the most popular stars and biggest merchandise movers in the entire company. As a unit, the Usos are also eight-time WWE Tag Team Champions.
Rumblings of an Usos reunion have reared their head at several points across this past year, and it now looks like WWE is going fully in on having Jimmy and Jey back in the tag team ranks, which is a welcome shot in the arm for the Raw tag division.
