Johnny Gargano Weds Candice LeRae In Disneyland Before Wrestling Her

NXT superstar and Cruiserweight Classic competitor Johnny Gargano married independent wrestling star Candice LeRae at Disneyland's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa on Friday. The couple had been engaged since January.

Many independent wrestling luminaries were in attendance. Groomsmen included Gargano's "Team DIY" partner Tommaso Ciampa, EVOLVE Tag Team Champion Chuck "DUSTIN" Taylor, and "King of Dong Style" Joey Ryan, who achieved fame last year when footage of his notorious "Penis Suplex" went viral and earned him a sponsorship with YouPorn.

There was even time for a face-off photo op, as LeRae and Ryan regularly tag as "The World's Cutest Tag Team."

Gargano and Ciampa debuted in NXT last summer, participating regularly as a team and scoring some wins despite not being under WWE contract. They later inked deals with the company that would allow them to continue their wrestling on the independent scene. Meanwhile, they gained more popularity in NXT, challenging The Revival for the brand's Tag Team Titles at TakeOver: Brooklyn II.

Over the past month, Gargano has been finishing up his independent bookings in preparation for a full-time career with WWE. His final indy match will take place in Cleveland, Ohio, on Friday, September 23, when he competes in a two-out-of-three falls match for Absolutely Intense Wrestling - against Candice LeRae.
