Having formally signed with WWE earlier this year - complete with another Royal Rumble appearance - Jordynne Grace resurfaced in NXT as last night's Vengeance Day went off the air.

In the main event of Vengeance Day, Giulia retained the NXT Women's Championship against Roxanne Perez, Cora Jade, and Bayley, hitting the Northern Lights Bomb on Perez to get the win. Post-match, Stephanie Vaquer - who defeated Fallon Henley to become the new NXT Women's North American Champion earlier in the night - came out to the ring to celebrate with the Beautiful Madness, with the two sharing a moment and holding their respective belts aloft.

Then, the familiar siren of Jordynne Grace's entrance music hit, with Thicc Mamma Pump making her way to the ring and taking a closer look at NXT's two women's singles titles. There was no physicality, no verbals, no beef, per se, but Grace made it clear that she's got NXT gold in her sights.

Of course, Jordynne is no stranger to NXT, having wrestled four matches for the brand last year, the most reason of which being a mammoth ten-woman tag match on the NXT 2300 special episode back in November.

What's Next For Jordynne Grace?

As mentioned, Jordynne Grace signed with WWE earlier this year, being allowed out of her previous TNA deal a little earlier than originally scheduled. Since then, the Juggernaut wasted no time in making yet another mark in WWE, entering the women's Royal Rumble at the #19 spot and getting a fun 23-minute run that was, coincidentally, brought to an end by Giulia.

Whether Grace goes after Giulia, Stephanie Vaquer, or both, that remains to be seen, but what is certain is that the three-time TNA Knockouts Champion is set to spend her immediate future in NXT.

Previously, reports stated that while Jordynne has signed a multi-year main roster WWE deal, she would initially be having a short run in NXT before moving to Raw or SmackDown. And with that Vengeance Day appearance, that sets those plans in motion.

Some fans may question the decision to send Jordynne Grace to NXT - the 28-year-old, 13-year veteran being a fantastic in-ring talent, a very solid talker, and having a phenomenal look and presence - but right now, that could well be the smartest way to use Grace for the next few months. Sure, the Texan is absolutely main roster-ready, but TV time is sparse as WrestleMania Season is now upon us, with the focus of the women's division being on Tiffany Stratton vs. Charlotte Flair, Rhea Ripley's 'Mania match, the mystery behind who attacked Jade Cargill, a potential Raw rivalry between Bayley and the surely-being-called-up-any-day-now Roxanne Perez, and the possible return of Becky Lynch - not to mention WWE still getting to grips with establishing its new Women's United States Champion and Women's Intercontinental Champion.

The point being, Jordynne Grace may end up lost in the shuffle on the main roster at this time, with the focus of the company's female ranks being elsewhere as WrestleMania 41 looms large. By spending a little while in NXT, that allows Jordynne to be positioned in a major spotlight by the brand, has the hugely intriguing prospect of matches with, amongst others, Stephanie Vaquer and Giulia, and also should lead to a big match for the powerhouse at an event such as Stand & Deliver. A few months as a featured player in NXT will allow the WWE audience to become even more familiar with Grace, with that only adding further interest and anticipation to a post-'Mania move to Raw or SmackDown for the hugely talented star.
