In between the Katie Vick debacle and being forced to unmask, Kane didn't have much to do besides form yet another short-lived tag team alongside Rob Van Dam (whose own career was beginning to follow the same perennial upper mid-card path).

There was nothing exactly wrong with it on paper, but the pair were among the casualties of WrestleMania XIX's stacked card, forced instead to compete on the pre-show Sunday Night Heat match rather than fighting on the pay-per-view proper.

And what's worse is that they actually lost their tag team title bout to the team of Lance Storm and Chief Morley, compounding what was an extremely disappointing night in the career of the 'Big Red Machine' (and one that, clearly, made him very angry indeed).
