With Karrion Kross seemingly done with the NXT brand and now exclusive to Raw, last night's red brand offering saw the former NXT Champion debut an 'interesting' new look.

Coming to the ring for his match with Ricochet, Doomsday was seen wearing a helmet and a literal cross across his chest. Cross, Kross, geddit... ?

Of course, fans were quick to hop on social media and proclaim their disbelief at what they were seeing, with Kross' new get-up compared to anything from Demolition, to The Sultan, to Lord Tenzai, to Kwang, to the big boss of the old Pit Fighter video games, to Sean Connery in Zardoz ,and countless other comparisons.

While the helmet did at least come off for his dominant victory over poor Ricochet, the cross-designed body piece remained on throughout this match.

Many wrestling fans were already left baffled at the presentation of Karrion Kross during his appearances to date on Raw. And now, those baffled sorts are shaking their head once again. From a total badass with Scarlett at his side and an elaborate entrance while he powers to the ring, to, well, *this*.

Minimal blame - if any - can be put on Kross for how these Raw outings have gone, and the guy is an extremely talented performer both in and out of the ring. But man, does this all feel extremely outdated, and more worryingly, it only seems to get worse for Karrion with each passing week.
