Following his explosive WrestleMania 41 Recap appearance last month, Karrion Kross has moved to clarify that he's not disgruntled in WWE, but he's instead just "very hungry".

That 'Mania Recap show saw Kross bemoan how being a "good soldier" ended up in his TV time being cut and him eventually being released by the company, with Karrion ending that rant by telling the "guy in the suit and tie in the truck" - that'd seemingly be Triple H - to "go f**k yourself".

The former two-time NXT Champion had already amassed quite the buzz for himself in 2025, largely due to his social media presence, and that WrestleMania Recap promo gave fans renewed hope that Kross could be set for a larger role as the year plays out; something that has yet to really come to fruition.

Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show (via f4wonline), Karrion wanted to clear a few things up, mainly that he's disgruntled in his current spot.

"The biggest misconception anyone can take from what I said on WrestleMania [Recap] was that I’m disgruntled. I’m not. I’m just really, really, really hungry, man. I’m really hungry. All of this is coming from a place of passion. It’s all about the grand scheme of things. People are paying to come watch the greatest show in the world. I want to be a reason on the show where they felt like they got every single cent worth of that. I want to be more than just an Easter egg.”

On those post-'Mania words, Kross added:

“It’s not complaining. It’s using your voice. Speaking up and saying, ‘I’m here. I want to be here. I want to give you the best of what I have'”.

As alluded to, more and more fans have started to gravitate towards Karrion Kross over the past few months, with the man himself not just making the most of his limited minutes on WWE TV, but putting out some great self-shot, self-edited promos and vignettes on his social media platforms.

When discussing his current relationship with wrestling fans, Kross noted how those fans are different to what they used to be, in that people no longer solely praise Karrion's time in NXT and seek a return to that, but he now gets a lot of praise for the work he's doing now - work that fans want to see more of.

A Big Rest Of 2025 For Karrion Kross?

At WrestleMania 41 itself, Karrion Kross' role was getting involved in the AJ Styles vs. Logan Paul match, with Kross trying once again to get AJ to revert to his old, more treacherous self. Since then, Kross has suggested he might deal with Logan himself, although the former Killer Kross has only wrestled twice, both of which have come on WWE Main Event - one being a loss to Dragon Lee, the other a win over Tyler Bate.

In and around WrestleMania Season, there were several reports that WWE management had been impressed with Kross and that he was set for a more prominent spot in the coming months. While that has yet to happen, there's still plenty of time left in 2025 for Karrion to get a larger role on TV, whether that's picking things up with AJ Styles, possibly doing something with Logan Paul, or going in an entirely different direction.

For anyone who watched Karrion Kross vs. Alexander Hammerstone at FSW's Chris Bey Benefit back in March, Kross certainly has those longer, more physical matches still in him, with him going nearly 20 minutes in a hard-hitting win over ol' Hammer. His subsequent appearance for Josh Barnett's Bloodsport over WrestleMania Weekend - where he beat JR Kratos - was also a whole lot of fun, complete with a big pop for Kross.

It's clear that Karrion Kross is busting his backside and doing all he can to make himself stand out from the crowd. It now remains to be seen whether that will translate to a bigger, more featured spot on WWE programming.
